Just the right size to noticeably step up the sound relative to the typical bottle size speakers but is still portable. Build quality is a highlight - feels like one solid piece and the water/dust rating was essential for me bringing this on the beach. The buttons on top can be quite difficult to tell if they are on or off, this is my biggest gripe. The "outdoor mode" just makes it sound more "full" as far as I can tell, and I try and turn it on every time but sometimes forget and I would rather it just sound better as default. No expectation of thumping bass but the lower mid does well. Battery life seems good, hasn't been a major issue holding back longer days. I find that I often max out the volume to get the level where the outdoor party demands, so there is no more margin to go. I would NOT pay full price, but on sale seems good.

We love visiting beaches and floating in the water with our favorite tunes, but it's been hard to find a speaker that floats, and its sound isn't affected by waves. It's also been difficult to find one that enables you to have decent range from your bluetooth source. The only downside to this speaker is the weight. For flying, every ounce counts when weighing your luggage.
