This tent is not waterproof and has no rainfly! I have never heard of a camping tent that you have to be able to guarantee good weather!?!?
I will say the pop-up design is super cool and very easy to use.

Good quality tent that’s durable and easy to set u

This is a great little tent for the price. It feels like good quality and it is very easy to set up and take down. The materials seem durable and it held up during our trips. I only camped in mild weather, so cannot attest to the durability during storms. The only downside is that it’s a bit of a tight fit for four people, the space is more suitable for 2-3 people. Overall it is a really nice tent and works well for camping.

So quick and easy to erect.

I've owned many tents over the past 50 years of camping, and this is, by far, the easiest tent to setup I have ever owned! It literally takes less than a minute to erect by yourself, then you just need to peg the corners and add the cover. Best camping purchase I have made.

I love that you can set them up solo in under 5 minutes - that's impressive, especially at 47! The pre-attached poles really do make such a difference, and it's smart that you got separate tents for you and your older boys to give everyone their space.
A few thoughts based on what you shared:
About the height issue: Since you mentioned having back problems and your 5'9" son needing more headroom, it might be worth looking into the larger models (8-person or 10-person cabin tents). These typically have higher peak heights - often 6.5 to 7 feet or more - which would let both of you stand fully upright without bending. Even though you don't need the extra sleeping space, the added height could make a huge difference for your comfort.
What's working great:
The versatility for different climates (mountains without a heater, beach with ventilation)
The cabin style's vertical walls giving you more usable space
The instant setup saving time and effort
Having separate tents for privacy

LOVE this tent! It was super easy to set up. Taking me about 1-2 minutes tops to complete. I loved the little air vents on the top. I would highly recommend this tent! It's worth the investment for an easy transport and enjoyable camping experience.
