disappointing battery downgrade

as an owner of the 1st generation galaxy watch i am very unhappy about the battery downgrade. what is the point of the sleep tracking if i have to recharge it daily because you halved the battery life? sure it's smaller, i don't see this as a good thing. skip this generation unless you're like me and the last update for first gen made your watch unable to pair to bluetooth. i traded my old one in so i got some money back. i also tossed the cheap band right away.

Not worth an investment

i was happy to get galaxy watch 3. however, it didn't meet my expectations.
pros:
- nice design
- leather bracelet
- new watch faces
pros:

cons:
- except for design (rotating bazel) it is the same galaxy active 2
- terrible battery life (1.5 days) on 45mm watch
- slow charging
- leather bracelet is not good for swimming
- choppy apps work for fitness and sleeping (gps tracking didn't show the route, showed awake when i was sleeping)
- blood preasure is not active
- app selection is limited
- except for design (rotating bazel) it is the same galaxy active 2

Not ready for prime time

received my galaxy watch 3..my old watch backup restored easy, no manual in the box or where to get one. so, samsung why are you selling a watch that has no instructions with it, or on your web site. trying to beat out the apple watch sales, this leaves your loyal customers wondering if you overslept this morning. do not call samsung tech. i had a better idea of how to use the watch then their tech support did. through trial and the google gods. their tech people didn't know how the watch worked because they didn't have a manual to read, da. ok, i feel better now. i was thinking about upgrading my note 10 plus to your new note 20 phone, but i think i will hold off a year and see if there is a manual for it yet. oh, one last word think.

Tried Many Smartwatches

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have tried many previous smart watches and i really like the initial impressions of the watch 3. i upgraded to the watch 3 from a garmin, and many lesser names. after all that heartache i found an amazingly simple yet complex set of machinery. not too heavy, water resistant, and pulse o2/heart rate enabled. my wife is thinking of selling off her apple watch in lieu of this watch... and she is a huge apple fangirl!
the only issue i found was that it doesn't stay on my arm... the wife keeps stealing it.

it paired perfectly with my pixel 4. samsung pay works out of the box. performance wise it has taken a beating in the 2 days i have had it on my wrist and nothing has dinged or scraped it. pretty decent durability i'd say.
go ahead and buy it, you know you want to.

Underwhelming

i liked the beefiness of the original galaxy watch. this one seems more daintier, lighter, and weaker. it has the exact same interface and the only thing different in the interface is the live backgrounds which are gimmicky. i don't like the leather strap - i'd much prefer the rubber active one. pretty disappointed on this purchase - a lot more money for what seems like a lot less watch - i'm embarrassed to be wearing this thing...
