Familiar but lighter

i'm happy with this. it's the best upgrade from my gear s3 frontier. feels the same but lighter in weight. only drawback is the strap cause it felt a bit cheap. i got myself a silicone strap for it later on.

Decent watch but it doesn't work properly

the watch is well made and i enjoy using it. however it's supposed to be a smart watch right? well it keeps disconnecting from my android phone over and over again every day.
when i go to sleep i set it to night mode. in the mornings i disable the night mode on the watch and have to reconnect it once again(it always disconnects at night). after that the watch is now connected to the phone but won't receive any notifications. next i need to reboot my phone to force the samsung app to start picking notifications. restarting the app alone doesn't work.
i have to do this every day and along the day i need to keep reconnecting the watch to the phone.
it's not what i was hoping for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is as beautiful and functional watch, phone, info pod, music player, gadget, companion and alarm as you could want, worth every cent. the learning curve is minimal if you can find your way around a smartphone. but the fitness stuff, which is touted as the centerpiece of this timepiece's acumen is just for gym rats or runners and such. i garden, walk dogs, putter around the house, dance now and then and the watch's workout detection for my everyday regimen is quite confused and almost useless. for everything else it does, and there's a lot of it and the sheer snazz of it, i love it. i'd give it a 4.7 but you can only rate in whole numbers.

Super fast tap payments and big screen

i upgraded from a gear s3 lte after 3 years because my old watch became sluggish and some of the features stopped working. i got the 45mm galaxy 3 bluetooth only and absolutely love it. it is very responsive, the bezel lets me scroll without getting the screen dirty and so far all the features work flawlessly. i don't miss the lte feature at all because the bluetooth and wi-fi actually work well in the new watch.

Great integration with smartphone

this watch seamlessly integrates with my s20 ultra and i love how i can receive notifications from all my apps on the watch. i get about 2 days worth of battery life with normal use and the always-on display turned off. best surprise so far is being able to connect to my ultra's camera and see it on my watch face and take pictures!

i have been wearing a samsung galaxy watch since the release of the s2. it's essential to keep up today with notifications, the weather, step, other health data, etc. i just wish it was a little bit larger than 45 mm.

Good watch with room to grow

this is my first smart watch. for the most part, i enjoy the feel and look of the watch. it is easy to use and convenient. there are a few reasons that it does not get 5 stars. the battery life is only ok. i get about a day out of it. another is that there are too few apps for the watch. and the most important reason why it doesn't get a better rating is lack of google app support. i understand that samsung wants to push its own apps but googles apps just do it better. i want google assistant and maps support. also, i want google pay so that all of my stuff is linked together and i'm not forced to use samsung pay on my watch but i use google pay everywhere else. hopefully this can be fixed with future updates.

i got this as a replacement for the 41mm size, which was too small. the bezel on the 45mm actually seems shorter than in the 41mm! it's easy to use (both the bezel and the touch screen). the battery life is superb. the screen is beautiful. and since i had a trade in (active 2 - no bezel - good riddance), the price was great, too.
