The dirty water leaks out the bottom of machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dirty water compartment leaks and comes out of the bottom of the machine so the spots I clean up might be clean but then I have to shampoo the spots where the dirty water compartment leaks. I feel like the machine I got is defective based on the other reviews.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am so impressed how it takes out stains that have been sitting for a while on the carpet and upholstery items. It does take more than one round of the machine to get the super tough stains out - if you don't mind a bit of elbow grease I definitely recommend this!

I have a dog and so far it doesn't seem to have any issues with hair clogs because each part can be disassembled and cleaned out (of course I vacuum the areas prior to steaming but I can never get all the hair). Overall I am satisfied, but for larger areas I do have to empty and refill the machine to get the whole area.
