Spotclean Portable deep cleaner

I received this machine in Feburary just before I had to have elbow surgery and am just now getting around to using it. I love this little guy! With a grandchild and a 80lb Golden Retreiver the light cream color of the seats in my car were a mess!! Not anymore though! It is very easy to use and with a little scrubbing the stains came right out! It also worked very nicely on some spots on my stairs!

Spot is correct. I used on large mess water settings and it only cleans a small spot. I can't even imagine what it would do on small mess level. Takes lots of cleaner and the cleaner is expensive. Would not clean stairs without refill for each stair. That could really get expensive. Only works on very small spots(size of a luncheon plate) but it does clean a small spot well.

Tes, unless you are using the Oxy Boost this machine uses a very small amount of formula each time you fill it. Make sure that if you aren't using the Oxygen Boost, to use water in its place. You should only be using a few ounces of cleaning formula. I hope this helps.

step cleaning

i bought this to clean my steps. the cleaner sprays out the sides, sideways it sprays the step above and below, the other way it sprays the cleaner on the walls and moulding. i have a full size cleaner and the hand wand sprays directly down on the carpet. i bought the hand held cleaner because it is lighter and easier to carry, but it is worthless for the stairs. i will be returning it. would not recommend buying for step cleaning. why can't bissell make a sprayer like the full size cleaner, that sprays directly down on the area you are working on?

Hi Cindy, the tool you are using is meant to spray in all directions as it is the deep reach tool. Press the tool firmly into the carpet and spray it. You can use the other tool that came with your machine to spray above the surface of the carpet. The user's guide explains how to use it in better detail. I hope that helps.

Why did I wait so long?

I wanted something to clean the upholstery that wasn't just a surface clean. I have tried sprays and wipes which really didn't do that great a job. The sprays seamed to attract more dirt. I have researched and read so many reviews. So, I decided go ahead and spend the money to buy this unit. I am so glad I did. I regularly vacuum my furniture, but knew that it needed more. Boy, was I right. I used it this week and could not believe the dirt that was left in the tank. If you are on the bubble as to whether to buy this or not, go ahead and do it. You wont be sorry!

Great for cleaning up after older, sick pets!

I am a vet technician that rescues older and sick pets. I have an older FIV positive cat that has occasional vomiting and diarrhea on a beige carpet. This machine has taken out the stains every time! My 15 year old dog has dementia, and urinates and defecates on my oriental rug. This machine has taken out the smell and stain every time! I will certainly recommend this machine to all of my friends, especially if they have pets or kids.

I have had bissell portable spot cleaners for years with always good results. Unfortunately they wear out and necessitate replacement. I just assembled a new spot cleaner that is a replacement for my old green clean machine. This new cleaner is the flimsyest, most awkward product I have ever seen. Please bring back the green machine!! Clean up is almost impossible with the little rubber stoppers. Give me a break!!

Our new SpotClean has used innovation partnered with our experience from the Little Green to bring a better cleaning experience. The rubber stopper on the dirty water tank is just a quick way to empty it with a small mess. You can still remove the bottom of the tank and quickly empty a full tank. I hope that helps jb.

We purchased this product four days ago from a brick-and-mortar store to clean up a couple of areas that one of my large dogs got sick on after surgery. A few canned spot removers we tried only spread around the mess and made it worse. I didn't think anything would take the mess out completely - I was just hoping to make it less noticeable. We brought the SpotClean home, put it together (easy), and tried it. It completely removed the entire mess and the carpet was fairly dry right after I finished using it. I am very impressed. This machine is my new best friend and I'll be putting it to work on the couch and on some older stains in front of the fireplace in the near future. Thank you, Bissell, for such a great product!
