I just bought this today and was excited to try it. I have 2 large dogs and two cats. Cons... - It holds about 1 1/2 inches of dirty water (that's where the full line is) you will have to empty it many times before you run out of clean water! -The dirty water tank leaks from the bottom when you rinse it out. -It is loud when placed on a hard surface while cleaning. Pros... - I like the way it cleans and it leaves very little moisture behind. -It was easy to assemble, it's light weight and compact.

Thank you for your review. It's always a big help for possible future changes. If the collection tank leaks, make sure the duck bill gasket is positioned tightly under the tank to prevent leaks.
I had the "little green machine" for many years. It finally died. I was looking for a similar machine to do my upholstery and stairs. It was a learning curve to properly use the SpotClean 5207, but once you get the rhythm it works great. The finished job was great. I'm quite satisfied with it. Of course, the old machine was much more sturdy. This one is convenient to handle and is light weight. Hope it lasts as long as the "little green machine"'.
Sprayed sideways, does not clean like I expected it too. Very disappointed !

Hey Bob, thanks for the feedback. The DeepReach tool is meant to spray sideways. Try digging it into the carpet and spraying the solution. It isn't meant to be held above the carpet and sprayed like the other tools. You can refer to the users guide for operation if needed. I hope this helps.
Not what I expected. I bought a cleaner with a heating element to keep the hot tap water hot. Which it did not. was cold within a few minutes. I bought a cleaner to clean upholstery and carpet inside our boat and cars plus the couches and chairs. The Machine leaked badly, I thought it was from the dirty tank not being seated but it was coming out of the vent in the housing. The deep cleaning tool sprayed sideways, it didnt matter how much pressure I used. It still sprayed everywhere except where it was intended. a couple times hitting me in the face when I was cleaning a vertical surface. I had to hold my free hand next to the tool to help direct the cleaning solution to the area I was "trying" to clean. When i held the 3" tool above the base, it would leak out of the connection to the hose. The hose is too short, but I expected that. I am disappointed in this machine as a whole. I do like the compact design and it was easy to put together and fill. The brand name Bissell used to mean something.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry for your disappointment. The heat wave technology will help maintain the heated water you put in your tank. Though, once the water is sprayed it will cool down. The deep reach tool is to be used deep down in the fibers of the carpet for the best cleaning; make sure to hold the tool into the carpets to avoid water spraying all over. No leaks should be with your machine, we can help you. I purchased this item in April and used it just once since them. I need to use it again, but am hesitant because of the fairly large tan stain it left on my carpet where the machine was sitting. I thought it would disappear with drying, but it is still there. Also when I went to empty the dirty water, the container dripped all the way to the sink. It also sprayed all over the carpet, including me when using the Deep Reach tool. I thought I had it far enough into the carpet. Disappointed!
I have to say, I was skeptical that this would remove the months old stains on my carpet...but it totally did. I have a dog who had quite a few accidents while being house trained, and although I had used other pet carpet cleaners there were still stains! I had just kind of resigned myself to the fact that I would have to live with it. But I kept seeing Bissell commercials (kudos to your Marketing and Advertising folks for the perfectly placed ads) and decided to give this a try. And it worked. Literally the stains are gone!! I would absolutely recommend the SpotClean!
Oh Bissell, I am not one to EVER write reviews however, I had to write regarding an incident that occurred with my dog last night. Apparently my poor pup had 3 serious bouts of stomach issues around 5 a.m. and managed to leave 3 large piles of something unidentifiable. Two were embedded in my daughters pink shag carpet and one on a low pile cream colored carpet in front of my eldest son's room. Now, I am not very good with these types of accidents. Area rugs and towels typically get thrown away in our home when this occurs. I know, I know I am sure you are thinking "TMI"-too much information about your dog and life lady. So my first thought was ..."Oh no I am going to have to replace this carpet" I immediately jumped online and started researching steam vacuums so I could run out and purchase something and get the "issue" dealt with in a timely manner. I was looking for something portable as our home is a bit on the larger side and I wanted to be able to easily carry it up and down the stairs, etc.. All reviews lead me to the Bissell Spot Clean. It took two Large Box retail stores to find it. as the first one was out of stock on this item. I Bought it, brought it home and with a little effort it seriously removed all 3 stains! I actually could not believe it. My children came home from school and my oldest said "wow, I cannot believe that actually came out" This saved me both the expense of a professional steam cleaner and/or a trip to the carpet store. Thank you Bissell!!!! Now if you could only solve my dog's shedding and dog hair issue! My current two vacuums, one which was remotely expensive, DO NOT seem to get the matted dog hair off of the few shag rugs in our home, regardless of everyday vacuuming. Suggestions are welcomed!
