I've had a few carpet cleaners over the past 45 years of marriage. The SPOT CLEAN is far and away the very best ever! So easy to use, light weight, and it REALLY works! After an 'accident' on a white carpet that I was certain would be the end of it, I went out and bought this 'little cutie'. #Thinking that if the stain didn't come out, I would finally replace this old bedroom carpet , and have a carpet cleaner for little spots and the stairs.# I can't tell you how surprised I was when this nasty mess came right out! I then went on a 'hunt' for other stains to try. We have a family of 15, 8 grand kids, 2 grand-dogs, so stains on the dining room carpet was 'SURE' to be it's downfall. Nope, it got everything out, even old stains of BBQ sauce, and another of hot cocoa with a shot of espresso!!! #I did that one myself, last winter!# If anyone doubts that this little dynamo isn't up to the task ---- think again!! I have recommended it to everyone! Thank you!!

Just bought the Spotclean carpet cleaning machine. I have owned many Bissell products in the past, Vacuum's, Carpet cleaners, which were always great cleaning, simple to use, that is until now. This thing made such a mess, the nossle sprays cleaner everywhere, including all over my feet. This machine is more trouble then it's worth. If you don't use all the cleaner in the side tank, it's almost impossible to empty the tank. My carpet is still wet from the mess this machine made. If this is the future of Bissell, I am no longer a customer. WOW, why do companies do this, did they even test this product? It would be soooo simple to design this machine to be easy to use and actually work as intended.

Thank you for your review; we're sorry you are disappointed. Please note: the Deep Reach cleaning tool is designed to spray sideways, but is meant to be pressed into the carpet before releasing the solution. Try this, with the deep reach tool. The other tools can be sprayed above the carpet. I hope this helps.

Not so happy

Purchased the Spot Clean to take care of pet stains. Assembled the machine and finally figured out how to turn it on (missed this on the diagram). I did the spraying of the stain first to let it sit for 3-4 minutes. The spray was coming out the sides and the front and it was getting on my oak furniture! It wasn't until I saw the spray reach the wood floor that I realized the distance the spray was spraying. Why couldn't the spray just come out the front so I could direct it right at the stain? I had to mop up the wood floor with a towel. Also, the suction is very poor to suck up the dirty spots that had been formula sprayed and I would say there was more water still in the carpet in comparison to what I was sucking up. I sprayed the entire container, which I filled up twice, and I only got 1/2 half a container for dirty water. I'm disappointed in these two things, but the stains are gone and it's taken 24 hours to dry. Sharon

Thank you for your review. The cleaning tools are designed to clean deep into the carpet fibers; not on top. This way the stain will be removed completely and not just at the surface. Just purchased the Spot Cleaner yesterday and have been cleaning everything from upholstered chairs, toss pillows, stain on carpet, pads on patio chairs, now I'm moving on to the car seats. Does a great job and everything I've done so far looks and smells great. My only question is...................I can not figure out how to attach the flex hose CLIP. Do you have a diagram or video on how to attach it. I almost think I have the wrong clip. Thanks

Works well for being so small

We've been renting Rug Doctors for years to clean up messes from both our children and cat. In between cleanings I have been cleaning up stains by hand; which worked well, but was time consuming. We decided to purchase this to alleviate my time used to do it by hand. It was much quicker and completely removed all the stains. It was even able to clean out a week old cat "accident" on our carpet (we were out of town and the cat sitter didn't see it). This is definitely NOT something for a thorough whole house cleaning. It is easy to fill the solution/water and to empty the dirty water, no spillage. My only complaint is that the unit starts to spray water from the bottom if you get even a little over the full line. Otherwise, great product!

Its good

I just bought this a few hours ago, and it seems to be working pretty well.. The spot that my dog lays is quite large.. so it takes a bit of elbow grease to really get it good. Works good on our couches though, its disgusting how much dirt you get out of it. I wouldn't recommend for big areas with big dogs. Overall its pretty good.
