SpotClean is a huge disapointment

Very disappointing! Leaks & NO SUCTION. I purchased this as a replacement to the previous model that was much better. This device is to loud that I feel I need ear protection. I thought the first unit I received was defective, so I returned it to Bed, Bath and Beyond for another. It was just as poor - seriously you think it is broken...and it is!

It leaks and constanly loses suction all of a sudden all the time requiring me to unscrew a lower plate and reseat it. There's some kind of rubber bladder/gasket that stops the suction. Plain paper towels are easier to use and do a better job because there is no suction all of a sudden right in the middle of trying to spot clean.

I am very disappointed with this product. I purchased it about 6 months ago. The water does not drain properly from the hose and now the hose is disgusting and is filled with gooky residue. There is no way to clean it and it smells like moldy dirty water every time I try to use it. I have to buy a new cleaner to clean up the smelly mess from this one.
I purchased a spot clean less than six months ago. Should have know better. This is the third( and last) Bissell machine. After using it less than a dozen times the hose split at the machine end.

we have now owned 3 different pet spotbots- each one less reliable. we purchased this model because it seemed simpler than the others & we thought less could go wrong. nope. dirty water sprays from the hose at the machine base each use. ridiculous!!!!!
THE SUCTION WORKS GREAT BUT THE USED WATER CONTAINER WILL ONLY HOLD 1 TO 1 1/2 INCHES OF WATER. YOU HAVE TO EMTPY IT EVERY 30 SECONDS. THIS IS CRAZY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL FOR THIS REASON. I M NOT KIDDING EVERY MINUTE YOU GET UP TO EMPTY THIS. CRAZY

We have a new puppy and always thought Bissell sold a quality product.so this was our first Bissell. We purchased ours in February so we didn't have to use the full size cleaner every time we had an accident. It's already broke its been used about 12 times. We couldn't figure out why the floor under the machine was wet after we used it and now we noticed the hose has split next to the cleaning head..

I do recommend this spot clean. I have 4 dogs. Three are small dogs...1 is a 6-month old puppy...and the 4th is a 13-year old large dog who is incontinent. This is a very good product for cleaning up the small areas...and the dog beds...and even with the "downsides" I wouldn't give it up. The items I mention below are easy to live with for the convenience of not having to get out my full size machine all the time. I just feel they should be mentioned. Here are the things I've noticed: 1...The dirty water tank holds 1/3 the amount of the clean tank. I have found this on the full size shampooers as well, just don't know why something cannot be built for the dirty tank to hold the same amount. 2...After turning off the machine, the brush head "dribbles". Just an inconvenience. For those looking for a "rinse" feature...many full size don't have a rinse feature and in my household...personally...I don't need it. Once the carpet dries...I just vacuum again...I'm always vacuuming anyway. For those stating about the sprayer going 5' in either direction...yes it does that...but read the manual. This is meant for "deep" cleaning so you have to "push" the brush head down.
