Here's my problem: I LOVE the cleaning qualities of this puppy(I know, weird problem)! We have a low-functioning Autisitic child who is 14, still in "pull-ups" and vomits/defecates as a result of anxieties of non-routine situations/visitors. He also has PICA and a major sensory deficiency, so he thrives on pressure and tactile things. Now, I don't say all this in an attempt at a pity party, I say all this because for years I thought of how nice it would be to have a carpet cleaner, because when you have a sensory seeking child who not only vomits randomly but also can access his pull-up...Yeah. That stuff is his paint and the carpet/mattress/couch is his canvas. That being said, I didn't voice my wants until a couple years ago when I was reaching a breaking point. Apparently I voiced it so much that I was double blessed two Christmases ago(2016)--my husband won this little spot cleaner as an incentive reward at work and my parents went out and got me the Bissell Power Steamer PowerBrush Select Upright Carpet Cleaner(this is the point that you realize you're a parent, by the way...getting excited over cleaning machines as presents)! It's taken me this long to say something about it because not only am I not a big complainer(I'm told I should speak my mind more) but honestly, they're amazing! Aside from having to fill both of them frequently, they do the job! Here is my one HUGE problem with the SpotClean: the dirty water tank is extremely difficult to empty. Let me rephrase...if I use the rubber tab and empty through there it's very time consuming, and if I opt to twist the bottom off instead, it's nearly impossible to twist off. Perhaps I'm just extremely weak...? Regardless, in the attempts to empty the dirty water it feels almost as if I'm making more of a mess than what I just cleaned up! Tonight, the pressure needed to open the bottom of the tank took it's toll and it cracked. Which pushed me to another breaking point that motivated me to finally complain.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry to hear the tank broke, Julia - We've sent an email to help assist with a replacement tank.
Well, I finally managed to assemble the machine. It took me three hours and now I have other things to attend to, but I do hope to find time tomorrow to actually spot clean our carpeting. In reality, I must admit that I'm more like the Samsonite orangutans, so even the assembly was an accomplishment for me. I will review its cleaning ability tomorrow.
After doing my research, I purchased this cleaner because I have a little kitty with health issues that doesn't always make it to the litter box. The cleaner takes care of the spots perfectly (and I'm not just talking about urine spots). Stains that had all day to set in while I was at work come out with no problem. I am so glad I bought this cleaner. I would definitely recommend this cleaner!!
I use for cleaning car carpet and seats for my detailing business don't do to bad but needs more vacuum power and hose needs to be longer. Probably works good on small spots in home but not great for the car.
Device cleaned doggy stain real well, but it left the carpet very wet. Was surprised at that as my big upright machine made it drier. Had it vacuumed up the water better, I would have given it 5 stars. Knocked off a star because of this.
