Not Bissell's normal good quality

The water sprays to the sides from the brush which gets things wet that you do not want wet. The water leaks from the bottom of the unit a lot!!! I have only used mine twice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Renee - it sounds like you may be using the deep reach tool with the machine. This tool should be pressed firmly into the carpet when used to reach the base of the stain. Great but WAY TOO noisy.

This little machine cleaned very well, BUT... the noise is a high pitched whine that is hurtful. The fact that you are down on the floor close to the machine (or at least I was) makes using it uncomfortable. Just to offer some perspective, I wear hearing aids which were not on when I used the machine and it was still way too loud. If this could be fixed this it would be a great tool to have around the house.

My wife spill more coffee on the car seats then she drinks. So i bought this machine with low expectations just to clean the seats in her car. After using the machine the seats turned out great. For a little machine it works great. The seats look and smell brand new..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, a few days after my portable carpet cleaner arrived I had an urgent need for it. My little terrier had a stomach problem and had accidents all over my large white area rug. I used the pre-treat and sanitize after I had cleaned up as much as possible and the portable cleaner with the power brush head to do the deep cleaning. It did a great job. The spots impacted look as great as the rest of the carpet. I am incredibly grateful that I had ordered and received the portable carpet cleaner and that it did such a great job cleaning up my carpet. This is an awesome little machine. I am sold on the Bissell products - especially the pet line. They help me keep my home looking and smelling pet free.
