Within the last year we have purchased the 10 cup container and the 3 cup /10 cup set. RE: 10 cup containers, both lids have exploded while we were sealing the containers . We previously purchased multiple sets /sizes of the old containers - clear with green seals- and none of those lids has ever exploded and we have had them for several years.
I was thrilled with how these look. They are sleek and fit the spout of my Foodsaver perfectly. they have that little convex button that lets you know that your food is sealed....ingenious! Holds tight and keeps things super fresh. I had to work with my green knob to get it to properly "point" to the Vacuum word as opposed to the marinate one but it was easy to do. just watch for that. I'm getting more!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Foodsaver vacuum sealer and it works great when using the bags. Got a pair of plastic containers for Christmas and neither one hold a vacuum for more than a few minutes. REALLY disappointed in these pieces of junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello.
Thank you for taking your time to post this review. Your feedback is important to us. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with your FoodSaver and will be happy to help you.
If your canister will not hold a vacuum please check the following:
1. Make sure rubber gasket on lid is free from food materials.
2. Examine rim of canister for cracks or scratches. Any gaps can prevent canisters from vacuuming properly.
3. Make sure the Accessory Hose is securely inserted into Accessory Port on appliance and in port on canister lid.

You can tell the quality of the containers. I can now keep food longer without having to throw away. I often have limited time and can marinade quicker. These are wonderful containers.
Doesn’t seem to hold the marinate setting Lonny, maybe 5/10 minutes
