After slashing my thumb open with the box cutter trying to make it through the wads of packing tape to get my tomato slicer and parers, I really wasn't in the mood to use them. It's perfect, the blade is sharp and slender and will doubtless go through tomatoes exactly the way I wanted. BUT, the frustration of getting into my package dimmed the joy. I get it needed to be wrapped, but by yards and yards of packing tape so bunched that I couldn't cut it with the kitchen shears??? If you can find these little gems for in-person purchase do it, you won't regret it. But don't have them shipped.

Works wonderful. My brother asked to have mine because his peeler broke, so I gave it to him. Then my cousin was coming over and mentioned his peeler had broken, so he got the one I had ordered. So I ordered another. I still have it! Lol.

I love this knife! My husband likes very thin slices of tomatoes on his sandwiches for his work lunches and I always struggle getting thin, even slices with the knives I have. No matter how much I sharpen them, they are just never sharp enough and so to some degree I always end up smashing the tomato down a bit. This knife glides through with hardly any pressure at all.
