Rada has great products! The tomato slicer was recommended to me by a close friend. She loves her knife and it is a favorite kitchen item for her. The tomato slicer knife is awesome. I had wanted one for years but never ordered. I thought I would just use for my tomatoes but it slices other things just as well. I have had the paring knife for about 25 years and it works as if I just purchased yesterday.

I bought the tomato slicer as a gift to myself a couple years ago. I recommend this to everyone after I used it for the 1st time. No more smashed tomatoes! I can slice a really ripe tomato into very thin slices without any problems. I do follow the recommendation to hand-wash and put it back in it's sleeve after it's dry. Honestly RADA knives are my very favorite. I received my first set of these knives from my mother-in-law as a wedding gift in 1970. They still are in use today. You never have to buy a new one but, you will want to have different ones for different uses. I am currently planning on asking for a set of the steak knives with the new longer handle for my 72nd birthday coming up soon. (I asked my mother-in-law some years ago where she found these knives. She looked at me and said 'from the gift shop where you work'. Yes, the hospital gift shop where I have been a nurse for over 48 years, though now I teach in a nursing program and moved to a perdiem position at the hospital. The gift shop is now closed but I have found 2 places locally which carry these products. RADA products make great gifts for any occasion.
