These knives are not dishwasher safe. They immediately developed aluminum oxide on the handles. Now my wife refuses to use them, and they are sitting in a drawer. A little disappointing. Holds and edge though.

This was a replacement for a tomato slicer that I inadvertently tossed in the garbage. I love, love it. I just used it cut up a whole pineapple, actually I seldom use it for tomatoes, but I use it for everything else. If I was only allowed one knife in my kitchen it would be the tomato slicer. Oh, did I mention how much I love this knife?
