I bought the set of silver knives with the block. The looked beautiful and were perfectly sharp right out of the box. A few weeks went by and the coating started to wear off. I sent them back in to have another coat applied. Again, 5 months later, the coating is coming off. The knives were no longer sharp when they sent them back either. I can no longer use them as they leave a black toxic film on my hands when I use them.

These knives are a pleasure to work with. I didn't realize how much difference a good knife can make. The tomato knife makes clean slices without tearing or crushing. The chef's knife carves through even tough vegetables with ease. The peeler requires very little force from your hand to slice, and the peels are quite thin, saving most of your vegetable for cooking.
