The rada brand of knives is not the worlds best knives, but for the money you pay, i feel like they are a bargain. They are sharp, they look great, my personal favorites are the brushed metal. And they all feel great in the grip, balanced well and cut fantastic!!. All around amazing set.ive bought several of them and nearly have my block filled. Wish there was a block large enough to accomodate all of them .
Blade is too thin and bendable for me preference. Was expecting more heft for the price. I've found uses for the set, but I don't use them for guest place settings.
The cutting edge on these knives are almost nonexistent. If they ever get too dull, there isn't much room to bring them back to a sharp edge if you took to them to a professional knife sharpener. Also, I accidentally left one laying on a wet plate I had rinsed off and now the handle has dark spots on it. I was expecting them to be more durable than that. If they can't even sit on a wet plate then that should've been mentioned in the care instructions. It says hand wash and dry immediately and don't put in the dishwasher because of the chemicals in the detergent. The reason I'm recommending them is because they're aren't that many American made straight edged steak knives available.

Thank you for your message. We are sorry to hear you are seeing oxidation on aluminum handles. This is most often caused by the abrasive detergents or if left in wet conditions. When oxidation occurs, aluminum may appear dull with a gray or black residue. This is merely a characteristic of aluminum and in no way affects the durability of the handle or the performance of the knife.
If your knives have suffered from oxidation, you can use a cleanser such as Bar Keepers Friend. Using this product as directed will help return knives to their pre-oxidized condition.
If this does not clean your handles please contact our customer service department at customerservice@radamfg.com and we would be glad to replace this item for you.
These are great steak knives quality well made in USA. People need to realize that the value in made in usa is the product last many years as compared to cheap foreign imports that are disposable and you end up spending twice as much in the long run.
