Really like the knife but hate the sheath. I'm not a fan of the hard sheaths. Good size knife. Very sharp. Would recommend it to anyone.

Perfect all around quality knife

Recently bought this bad boy and very glad I did. I have been waiting for a rubber grip from SOG for a long time. Don't get me wrong, I love SOG and own a lot of their other knife models like the seal pup for instance. But this model's grip is great. Feels perfect in your hand like it will never let go. Love the full tang with the multi purpose end, and the hard sheath with the cutter is a plus.
My only question is when will this model be available with a black finish blade??? Once it is I will happily buy that too.

Awesome Knife....

Sog has nailed it with this knife, lightweight, comfy rubber handle, full tang with small pommel, easy to sharpen steel, and comes with a descent sheath. Only worry on this entire package is the sheath belt clip, probably won't last with med/hard use. This knife still gets 5 stars in my book, all these features and it can be had for under $40.

I purchased this knife as an alternative to my Mora Companion and I can tell you that it is fantastic. Its a Wet weather knife that can be used for everything from light camp chores to cooking and even small bushcraft skills. Its full tang is more than capable and its pommel is strong enough to extract bark for fire starter. I'm impressed at the jimpping on the pommel. It makes for a very useful tool. No worries about skinning and cutting of game. There's plenty of belly on this knife for that and its great for people with larger hands. The blade is roughly four inches and is comparable in size to a Mora Companion. I've paired this knife off with a couple of others in my pack and can honestly say that SOG has a winner with this one. Great minimalist knife and could easily be turned into a tip up necker if need be.
