I ordered three of these for Christmas gifts. These are big knives with large handles, which will be good because the men in those families cook, too. I think they'll like them. My bad, but for some reason I was expecting these large knives would be packaged in a box. No, they come with the blade in a cardboard sleeve in a sealed plastic bag, similar to the little paring knives. I wish Rada offered the option of a gift box for these, but that doesn't affect the knives. The packaging says hand washing is best but also dishwasher tolerant, like the regular black handles. I have several other Rada knives and I like them all. They are good, sharp knives for the price and last for years. I haven't used these, of course, but I expect the same good quality. Still made in USA of USA materials which I appreciate.

This knife is flimsy. The metal itself is not thick and sturdy. My husband won't use it and I specifically ordered this size for him. Waste of money.

This knife is the grown up version of the chefs knife (which I also absolutely LOVE). The Anthem knife is capable of slicing through almost anything. The handle grip is soooo comfortable.

I ran across this brand while on vacation and walked into a large market place, saw the brand and bought a couple of the small knives and sharpener was immediately sold first time I used one. Have since then bought these for wedding gifts, Christmas, for whatever the occasion calls for. Love the brand, but practice makes perfect when it comes to sharpening them, a few swipes and they are certainly sharp. Needless to say I am a big fan.

I like the knife. It cuts well enough. It is not as heavy as my last one and the black handle is ordinary plastic. I read on the site that I should get the plastic handle if I wanted to wash the knife in the dishwasher. A paper that came with the knife said it should be hand washed. So, I guess I'll see how long it lasts. I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Thank you for your review. The handle is a resin handle better for dishwasher tolerance. Handwashing all fine cutlery is recommended to prevent microscopic dings on the blades cutting edge, but we realize a lot of people do put them in the dishwasher.
