Slices through fresh ginger root precisely and easily.

Just picked up this little paring knife at a Craft Show. Tried it on a piece of ginger root which can be tough to cut without a really sharp knife. This little parer is just what I was looking for! So happy to have found it as my other paring knives have lost their edge. I'll be ordering more as gifts and backups.

I bought one of these knives many years ago at a kitchen store. This IS my Go-To knife for many cutting jobs in my kitchen. It's the first one I look for in my cutlery drawer because its small lightweight and easy to handle and retains its edge. It pares and slices like a dream . Thought I lost it one time and went back to the store to buy another. Now I have 2.

I first received a granny paring knife over 20 years ago. I’ve since owned only one more (2 paring knives in 20 years). I know own one for both homes we occupy during the year. My oldest son just married and yep, I’m planning to gift them this little wonder!!

My mom and Grand Moms all had the standard paring knives bought through church fundraisers. I found the the Granny Paring Knife and the Tomato Slicer knives 20+ yrs ago and they became my "Go To" knives. I have them stashed in nearly family member's kitchen so they are handy for me and I have given them as gifts. I also appreciate that they are made in America.
They hold their edge fairly well as long as they aren't used as screwdrivers and other not intended uses. I prefer the aluminum handle even if a trip through the dishwasher dulled their shine, but that doesn't affect the cutting edge.
