Volume buttons stop being responsive

Great case initially but the rubber sides quickly wore off and the rubber buttons over the volume up/down soon became unresponsive. I then had to take the phone out of the case to adjust the volume. A one year warranty for an expensive case which is "LifeProof" is ridiculous. This case was anything but "LifeProof". Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're actually quite happy to extend our warranty beyond the one-year mark; however, that is subject to whether or not we still make and/or have stock available. Unfortunately, we no longer have products that support the Google Pixel 3.

This is my 3rd Lifeproof case for my Google 3XL. As a mom of 4, my phone is my lifeline to an organized life but also takes a lot of abuse. This case holds up and my phone underneath still looks as new as the day I bought it. The case itself lasts about a year before the rubber seal around the camera and fingerprint scanner become loose/gets dirty/falls off, but it is worth replacing everytime.

This is my 2nd lifeproof case and always stands up to the test of time and daily use and abuse. Protected my Pixel 2XL and now I have a 3XL it needs the same love and protection. Lifeproof was my only go to case for my investment.

Absolutely love my new case. Easy to install. Very durable and has saved it from a few drops already. The only 2 cons or flaws i have found and are not a deal breaker for me. Due to durabilty and hardness you lose the ability to "squeeze" the Pixel to launch assistant and the cover over the usb-c port could be a bit larger as it is a tight fit. The usb-c cover also tends to get in the way often when it is open and a charge cable or usb earbuds/headphones are attached to the Pixel.

Not quite what I had expected it to be. The back part of the case had scratches on it when I took it out the box. (On the inside part of the back cover). It's not screen protector friendly either. Will have to see how it goes to determine if this case is actually worth it or not.

I have had the Pixel 3XL case for 8 days. In that time I have dropped the phone twice and of course sustained no damage. I previously had the LifeProof case for the original Pixel and that was an outstanding case. My only disappointment with the new case is the lack of waterproofing and cumbersome charging port cover. Not being waterproof is a substantial limitation in a place like Wisconsin where we are regularly near or on water, or dealing with significant rain. This limitation did not exist with the prior case. The new charging port cover is awkward and appears destined to eventually fail as I am forced to twist a piece of plastic bending an unhinged element out of the way. With the prior cover, and it's nearly indestructible hinge, you were able to access the charging port in a much simpler and quicker way. Additionally, the prior port cover allowed for the waterproofing color which this case does not.
Finally, both cases lacked any friction pads which would have prevented them from sliding off smooth surfaces. Although the LifeProof case has securely guarded both my current and prior phones against drops, some of the drops are due to the smooth case sliding off smooth surfaces.

Always loved the Lifeproof case and have had them on several different phones. However, what's missing from this Lifeproof case for my Google Pixel 3XL is the screen protector that has come with other Lifeproof cases for other phones I've had. This case doesn't have one and I didn't see an option to have a Lifeproof case with the screen protector. Maybe that's something Lifeproof can add in the future.
