I really liked my case but it started getting really gummy (only word I can think of to describe it) lately forcing me to have another one when I feel like I haven't even had it that long. It can't be that sustainable if it still has to be replaced a bunch.
I cannot overemphasize how much I love this case. I am a rather anxious, clumsy person who is notorious for dropping phones, cracking screens, and and hoarding trash because I can't recycle it. I can now say, having officially flung my phone (with the Nimble case on) ON CONCRETE and seeing it survive unscathed, this case is an absolute winner on both performance, aesthetics, and ethics. I love the grippy rubber (it has actually helped me NOT drop my phone more than I can count) and the fact that Nimble will take their own products back for recycling is TRULY appreciated. This company has my heart!!!
I really want to 100% love this case. It looks great, it protects your phone well, and it’s made from recycled materials! However, the 3 types of plastic do not stay fused together over the long term. I got my first case 7 months ago, and after a few months, the TPU edge around the screen started to pull off. To their credit, Nimble sent me a replacement very quickly — actually, they sent 2 by mistake. On the second case, the same piece started to separate pretty quickly (I think because it got wet). I’m now using the extra replacement case, and I can feel the silicone triangle starting to come out. I’m not a materials expert, but there is clearly something imperfect about the way the three plastics fit together. They do follow through on the warranty, but repeated replacements definitely make it less sustainable. I might try the clear case instead.
