NFC blocked, case too thick

This case fits well and protects from drops and bumps.
Dealbreaker is the fact that it is too thick for the NFC sensor on the back of the phone to work. I use NFC everyday, this is disappointing for a case from Google for a Google phone.
Don't buy if you use NFC

Broke within 8 months. Not caused by dropping.

The case has a hard inner shell glued to a soft exterior shell. The glue between the two parts seems to only be present in the middle of the case. As a result, the soft part bends around the edges and cotners, while pieces of the inner shell cracks off (not caused by dropping).
The case no longer stays on the phone because so much of the inner shell has broken off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Warped after a few months, not worth the price

The case is nice fitting and has a good feel to it, as one would expect from a first-party accessory. However, after a few months of use, the portion of the case near the buttons and charging port started warping and peeling away from the phone. This is a common issue with these cases with plenty of examples online. Google warranty replacement is hit or miss and it's just going to happen again with the same case. For $40 there are plenty of other options that will actually keep their shape.

Nice case, comes as advertised.

It has a nice aesthetic to it, a nice gentle texture albeit slippery due to it's smoothness. Will protect your phone from abrasion but you ought to expect sub-par shock protection from impacts compared to heavy duty phone cases. Fits the phone well. No complaints.

Fits well, overpriced

This case fits the Pixel 6a very well. It provides a raised lip around the screen and around the camera bar. However it is smooth, there are no ridges or cross-hatching to improve your grip. The material is not slippery but I would have preferred a rougher surface. There are several other cases with improved anti-slip features that are cheaper.
