It looks great. Works ok initially. Then for some reason the steam button stops working. Only great thing about it is the long cord.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far I like the features of this iron…its steam and spray capabilities are great, as well as being able to see the water level easily. It is on the heavy side, but very manageable. It heats up quickly and adapts between fabric types quickly.

Bad feature

The position of the on/off button, causes my hand to slip onto the button and shut it off as I am ironing. This is more than frustrating. Be aware of this problem if you buy this iron. 4 or 5 times while ironing a pillowcase, I had to reset the temperature.

Problem with the steam button!
on April 1, 2025

I bought this iron a year & 4 moths ago...it has been steadily going down hill with regards to the steam button. The same as two of the other reviews, the steam button is stuck & won't release. I actually like the iron, but I use steam frequently & now the iron isn't working well.

Steam button broke

I bought this iron a year and three months ago and the steam button is no longer working. It is stuck down and will not come back up. Pushing it no longer releases steam. I am extremely disappointed because I use this a lot for quilting and steam is essential. I expected better.

Not a keeper for me

I've had this iron for about a year. I chose this iron because it came in a pretty blue (silly!) and it had a long cord (smart). I originally bought a blue one, but it leaked within weeks, and was replaced under warranty with this black model. I use primarily for garment sewing - pressing yardage and seams, and using plenty of steam. I hate the auto-off that happens if the iron if down for more than 30 seconds; I have to lift to reset before I get to the end of my piece on the board and this stops the steam for a variable number of seconds that I can't figure out. I end up using the steam button frequently, and the button is beginning to falter. Also, the "S" logo on the plate has left a little embossment more than once in my fabrics. The cord length is great, and the tip is nice and pointy, but this iron is probably better for small craft than garment sewing.

In Love with My New Iron

I bought this to replace my old Shark. I am so glad I did! This iron is great! First-no leaks! And the fact that it uses tap water is great! The water tank is twice the size of my old iron so no complaints there. The auto shut off after 30 min is awesome when I forget to turn it off and long enough to let me finish my project without turning off i the middle of it. Best iron I have owned.
I would recommend this to a friend!
