Side Panel not flush with unit

We just bought this and installed yesterday. To my huge dismay, the right side accordion panel does not sit flush at the right top of the unit. There is a gap and it is brand new. Also, we have Harvey vinyl windows and this unit does not sit flush on the sill. We needed to stuff the foam insulation under the unit- about a foot of gap. The unit seems to work fine upon turning on to test, but I am not happy with the quality so far.

Please ensure all installation instructions are being followed and your window is within the recommended size. The side panels should slide in directly on the AC and be firmly attached to the window sides and the appliance should be sitting on its fulcrum point. good air conditioner, good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only used it a few times so far since the weather has been on the cooler side. That being said, I find that it is working well and is quiet enough. We have it a relatively small room so we can run it on low to medium speed, which keeps it a little quieter. I intentionally got a higher BTU to cool more area in our upstairs, not just the bedroom. I like the features that it comes with as well. I would have given it 4.5 if that was an option. Also I can't comment ondurability, since we have only had it for a month.

Perfect window a/c unit

It’s has several other features that make this the perfect unit - from its “sleep mode” to its “timer selection”. Very satisfied and nice unit for the money

Does not cool like advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works but will not cool the room as advertised, I went off the square footage measurement and have to turn the unit down 10 more degrees so to get the room to 76 I have to turn the unit down to 66.

If you have the correct size for your room, and the air conditioner does not feel cool to your liking, you want to ensure that the filter is cleaned. You also want to ensure that the front of air conditioner is not blocked by drapes, blinds, furniture, etc. As this can restrict air distribution.
