Great for my 2 car garage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this Window AC about a month ago for my 2 car garage , I spent some time in there as I have a hobby and I made the garage my “hobby studio “ and no AC in Miami is literally hell . This AC was super easy to install and it’s performance has so far exceded my expectations . It keeps my garage at 75 degrees and my projected electricity bill it’s projected to be actually lower this month than last .

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this air conditioner based on the number of positive reviews. I needed a new AC unit because I had a lot of people visiting and it was very hot and humid. My other AC unit is 5 years old, also an 8,000 BTU. I installed the new FFRE083WA1 in the main living area thinking that the newer unit would probably work better than a 5 yr old unit. We ended up switching out the units because the new unit did not cool and dehumidify the room as well as the older unit. If I had to quantify this, I would say it was one-third to half as cooling/efficient as the older unit. I am not normally a review writer and if I do review, I won't write until I have actually used the product long enough to make an accurate statement and feel strongly enough to write a useful statement. Hope this is useful to future purchasers.

Needs some improvements!

I like the size of this air conditioner because it fits nicely in my window, and it’s also I took away two stars because it’s not a quiet air conditioner and I mainly I do not like the vents that regulate the air. There isn’t a lot of change of direction when you move them. Unfortunately, the cold air hits my feet and it’s a bit uncomfortable. I hope they can improve these small details in the future. I only have this air conditioner for one month, so I can’t tell the longevity of it. I hope it’s for a while.
