[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems I've always heard the Frigidaire brand name, and in a good light. Refrigerators by Frigidaire we're in my home growing up, and now I trust Frigidaire air conditioners. A friend helped me get a smaller unit (which I still use and guided me to buy this 8,000 BTU AC).
I'm happy with my Frigidaire appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cools a 350 sq. ft. well. A bit noisy on the highest setting. Side panels are a bit flimsy and do not fit well on my installation - a lot of gaps to fill with foam tape - which doesn't stick well. One end of the top rail was bent, probably during shipping as that corner of the box was crushed a bit, and was very narrow. The bottom window rail barely fits behind it, so much so there is not enough room to drive the securing screw through it without splitting the wood. I attached two 1" L- brackets on the top of the bottom window frame with the bottom of the top window frame to secure the two windows together. I think at some point I will replace the two accordion side panels with 1" or 2" hard foam panels cut to fit.

Great ac but..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a great ac for our bedroom but it's dented in the top left corner and the faceplate won't sit completely flush. I don't know if it happened during shipping or in the warehouse but it still works and makes the room very cold.
