On paper, I didn’t see a big reason to upgrade. However, this watch fits my wrist a lot better. The way they re-engineered the band makes it sit on your wrist more flush. The battery life is improved as well I’ve received multiple compliments on it, as the design is a nice leap forward. Very happy with my purchase!
Love the features of the watch but not so mich the flat bottom and square shape, seems to fit more uncomfortable then my round 7.. also i dont like the band on the 8 also ive always been a m/l band size and they were great the new m/l the buckle doesnt fit to the center of my wrist is pushed over almost to the side of my wrist
Samsung's trade in program for their watches is AWESOME! And so very much appreciated!! Ive done it the past three watches now. A month or two ago I traded my Samsung Watch 7 for the new Samsung Watch 8. Hoping and praying it would be able to record my sleep and sleep stages a bit better. Or just at all, lol. Because the Watch 7 definitely struggled. Its the number one feature I wanted when choosing a smart watch and there are SO MANY other features you just can not use unless your Samsung Watch can record a proper sleep reading. At least 3 nights in a row. So I definitely sleep, lol. And I definitely sleep at night. I make sure the watch is clean, charged, 2 inches above my wrist, not too loose. I made sure my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was plugged into the charger, connected to the watch, that neither my phone, the watch, the Samsung Health app or the Wear app needed to be updated. I literally tried EVERYTHING to try and get it to read and record my sleep. Let's just say the over a year I had the Samsung Watch7 I was never told my sleep animal 😕. It did however keep track somewhat of how many hours I slept and sometimes would do everything else it does pertaining to the sleep feature.... the Samsung Watch 8 I have had now for about a month has not read my sleep ONCE. I am now using it with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and am doing all of the suggested things to do to get it to work better in that aspect. Everything 😢 I dont even go on the Samsung Health app anymore. I haven't set up tiles or a new face. To me its just a way over priced wrist watch that tells me the time. Because I feel so defeated by the whole thing 😔
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
