I love the new design with edges protecting the glass from bangs and dings. It is comfortable and stylish. It has some new health features and things are clear and explanatory in the wear app. I give it 4 stars because it doesn't readily swipe right the digitizer may have some problems in this model. All in all I am glad I upgraded and I love my Samsung products, the trade in is awesome to have thank you for that, and your sales and discounts are also very welcome
I went from the Samsung watch 2 to the Samsung Galaxy 8. The earlier version worked longer. The Samsung Galaxy 8 it just sat by itself without me wearing it and it lost 20% battery. My old watch lasted 2 days without charging
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Watch survived a 115' fall without a scratch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't say enough about how incredible the engineering of this watch is. It survived a 115' fall from a rollercoaster and didn't even have a single scratch on it and the find my watch function was such a wonderful experience after it fell otherwise I'd have never found it. The battery life is great and I love watching the water eject when I turn off waterlock feature. I've been a fan of Samsung for years and they just keep making great products not to mention Galaxy AI has improved every aspect of my day to day.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant about getting a watch initially, but after getting my Galaxy Watch 8, I don't know how I went without it. It's user friendly and has lots of features that I grown to be accustomed to and literally now love!
Do not buy this watch. The app timeout maximum on this watch is 2 minutes. That means if you use an app that you aren't actively hitting buttons to keep it awake like disc golf, golf, or fitness timing that EVERY TIME you need to look at it again it wakes the watch up to the home screen and you have to go into the app drawer to open your app back up. Why would it not by default wake back up to the last app you had open? I don't know, presumably because Samsung thinks they know what you want better than you do. In old versions of wear OS you used to be able to increase this timeout to an hour, now it's 2 minutes max. Especially terrible and annoying for disc golf and golf apps, DO NOT BUY for those.

Good day Sammy, Thanks for taking the time to share your candor with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. We appreciate your sentiments as we continue to make improvements on our product line to suit the needs of our customers. To keep your Galaxy Watch8 display awake while using your golf app, please ensure to maximize your built-in Screen timeout and use the Show last app feature to keep the app on the forefront. By enabling "Show Last App", this setting will ensure that when you raise your wrist or glance at your watch, it re-opens your active golf app instead of the standard clock face. Feel free to check out the resources shared below. Let us know if you have any questions or if you would like further assistance by contacting Samsung Support at your leisure. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my watch. I use it every day. It's so light and easy to use. Galaxy AI is so easy and fun to use. I recommend this product for sure.
Upgrade from Galaxy Watch 2. Much better battery and the slightly different shape is a welcome improvement. Upgraded to a hybrid band which I like better than the previous "plastic-like" band. Haven't used all the features yet but look forward to trying them.
