Great little thermostat

I love this thermostat. It looks great on the wall and feels better. The weighted turning makes the device feel solid. The light-up display isn't too bright or annoying. Being able to change the temperature with your voice is amazing, or from your bed without getting up. Sometimes we leave the house and forget to turn off the heat and now that's not an issue with the app.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super easy to setup

Setup was a breeze it literally took me longer to disconnect my old thermostat than to install the Nest AND set it up.
Also, be aware it often misreports the temperature in the first few hours of install. All you have to do is wait it out. I'd buy again.

I looked at both the Nest E and The Nest learning thermostat. Both are actually learning thermostats and that feature really wasn't one that made my choice. I went by price, in comparison, they both seem to do the same things. The only issue I had was the instructions said if I had a wire hooked to Y/Y2, to connect to *OB. In actuality, it needed to be hooked to Y1. After that fix, it works great!

Easy installation and set up.

The installation was a twenty minutes task and continuing with my wifi network another easy completion.
The scheduling took a bit of time to understand it but was accomplished successfully.
I have Nest smoke detectors and near future I will change my cameras as soon as Nest consider in lowering the prices.

I purchased a neat thermostat to replace an old one that was difficult to see because it's numbers were erased. Nest is wonderful and easy to use and see what the temperature is. I also like the idea of being able to turn it on and off and set the temperature I want right from my phone. The nest thermostat is convenient, efficient, operator friendly, and it looks good, I'm very glad I brought.
