Compared to our old "smart" thermostat, the Next Thermostat E is just simply amazing. From near zero lag time to turn the furnace on/off, and the ease of use, I'm just floored with the capability this little round device provides.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Value and great performance

This is my second Nest - I owned a Nest Learning for years until it went crazy after a software update. The features in this product are almost identical to the Nest Learning. It looks good - it's a good value for the money. The app is fantastic and works very well. The scheduling of the heating and cooling just couldn't be more flexible. There are many features to make your life easier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cranking the heat before you get home.

I was going to use this with a pellet stove. It did not have enough connections for my pellet stove, so I swapped my older neat to run the pellet stove and connected the Nest E.
I found the Nest E easier to install. It took the Wi-Fi information from the doorbell, so I didn’t have to type the code. It seems to startup faster than my Gen 3 Nest.
I have had to restart the thermostat once.

Easy setup and App Use

Installing was relatively easy, except the mounting plate screw distance, center to center, was smaller than a standard switch plate which forced me to adapt it to my application. Once that was done setup and activation was as simple as it gets. I'm a 60 year old do it yourselfer and not as new tech savvy as people half my age so I really mean setup and activating it on my cell app was simple.

You can control your temperature with your device from your comfort zone which is really cool. And you can also set the temperature before you get home.
