We needed a second thermostat for our basement and this one is great! We can lock it so the kids don't mess with the temperature, but still change it or check it from our phones
I purchased the nest thermostat e over the regular thermostat because I like fewer features in my thermostat and didn't care about the fancy display. Having owned the thermostat for over 2 months now, I have not regretted that choice once. Being able to control the thermostat with the Google Assistant means that I don't have to interact with the thermostat at all. Could be a little cheaper, though
was super easy to install (did self install) the need for a common wire should be a bit more prominent took a day to realize stat was turning on blower, but not compressor (heatpump) fixed the common wire problem, and now works flawlessly and is a great looking addition on the hallway wall
After having a regular Nest thermostat for a few years I was a bit hesitant to order the E version as I expected that I would miss the brilliant display of the original, but I have very much come to appreciate the simple and understated look of the E. It really blends in well, especially if you have other white devices nearby and light colored walls. Highly recommend!
Added the Nest E to the upstairs unit of my home. We have a 3rd gen on the main level already. Due to the ease of the 3rd gen I knew if the E offered the same options we would love it. Though it isn’t a conversation piece like the 3rd gen it does exactly what we need. It learns and regulates your temps to maximize savings. More money saved is money earned for more fun things. Nest everything! Lol
