Everything has been great with this item! It works as installed and it was incredibly easy to install. I just watched the video on installing the Nest and it was simple after seeing how and what I needed to do.

Functionally same as the older sibling

I have two of the "original" Nest thermostats. Unfortunately one failed after 6 years, and there was never any question in my mind that I would replace it by another Nest. When I went shopping, I discovered the model E. I prefer the looks of the original one, but the price difference was large enough to convince me to go with the E. Functionally it does the same as my "original" Nest.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would like to state some wires had to change around to charge the thermostat witch wasn't. In the instructions would of. Been. Helpful
