I was very excited to receive this as a gift from my son for Christmas. I was so surprised and had only briefly looked at them at the store. Now that I have one I would not want to exist without one in my home. The ability to change the temperature when I am not there, turn the temp down when I am sleeping and saving on my bills is so much easier than I had ever expected. I had owned setback thermostats in the past but found it too confusing to set them up or change the times. Thank you for such a great product.

Easy to use and encourages efficiency

The Nest Thermostat E is very easy to control from your smart phone or computer, locally or remotely. We got 4 of them for a multi-zone HVAC system. We haven't used the learning feature since our schedules are irregular. Our only complaint is that the maximum winter safe temperature is 45 deg F, which may not be high enough to prevent pipes from freezing in cold climates.

This is a great product that is very easy to use. I purchased the product because I was able to get rebates both through my electric and gas utilities companies which made it very affordable. I previously had a programmable thermostat but this one looks nicer, is very easy to program. The best feature of all is that I am able access it remotely so that I can turn it on or off, change temperatures while I am somewhere else. I like this feature especially when going on vacations. I also like the fact that the app tracks my usage, shows temperature changes, humidity levels etc. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I received my Nest as a gift. I use it at my vacation home to control the temperature when I’m not there or before I leave Home to heat or cool as needed.

The Nest E thermostat is easy to install and to operate. Installation was simple (they even have a built in level bubble on the mount) as was connecting to my WiFi. The learning mode over the first two weeks watches when you adjust the temperature and produces a schedule for you (or you can create a schedule on day one). Linking it to your phone(s) it can tell when you are home/away and adjust accordingly. The thermostat interface is clean and intuitive. Make sure to download the phone app, it allows you to monitor/adjust the thermostat where ever you are (home or states away).

Wished I would have gotten this soon. I love how easy it was to install. It looks so nice, too. It's pretty easy to work. It has more features than I first thought, like your energy history.
