Nest E thermostat

It’s a good product. Installation was easy but did have some problems when programming the setup. Putting my password in required multiple attempts sec to learning how to change to capital letters. On testing the fan, every time I hit the button for done it keep retesting. I did that 3 times before it completed the test. Made me worry unnecessarily that my device was defective and/or installed incorrectly. After one day of use, everything seems to be working well.

I love new technology, and the idea of being able to check the temperature in my home while I'm not there seems cool. I did not install the thermostat - had my regular AC/heating company do that, and interestingly enough, they will not support the unit even though they installed it. No real explanation, so I would like Nest to be sure to work with home heating and air companies to ensure purchasers are covered. Installation seemed easy for the installer, and he gave a cursory explanation of how to move through the different cycles. I went online to find out how to create a schedule, but no real info there, although I did figure it out eventually. All is pretty good, except that my ceiling fan turns on at random times. The fan has a remote but is not a 'smart' fan, so it is not connected to anything except electricity and the ceiling. The fan light will go on also, or both, at total random times. It mostly started after I set the schedule for the Nest. Haven't had time to contact Nest to figure out why, but that is a flaw, in my view. It doesn't happen if the Nest is turned off. Other than that, all is good. I like the look of it on the wall, and overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase - well, if I can get an answer on how to keep my fan from randomly turning on, that is.

Great product

I bought it at the end of last year. I really like it. It is smart and leaned my family's behavior. We had to get our bed to start the heater in the winter before. Now we can use Google home or smart phone to adjust the temperature anytime. In addition, we got $50 rebate from PGE. My wife like it so much and think it is a great gift. What a great deal!

Wonderful product

Wonderful product, easy to install, easy to use, very polished app. I would give it 5 stars but the thermometer in it reads about 5 degrees higher than the actual room temperature. You can adjust usage accordingly but for what this costs I have to say that disappointed me a little.

As of now, Nest is superior to all other wifi thermostats that I've used in the past. I would highly recommend. Additionally the Nest E is a great value. Same Nest product at a better price.

The making of my comfy castle

Where has this device been all my life. Just moved from old brownstone building to a renovated place. With the new move wanted to modernize everything.... The nest is the greatest gadget ever... you know the feeling its cold out... your in the perfect cozy spot on the couch... and feel a draft and want temp raised.... Enter nest to the rescue.... paired with my smart home device. I Just say the temp and house temp adjusts....its brilliant
