A great upgrade!

I purchased this from an individual who had a great price on this and I've been looking into nest for awhile now and finally got one and I love it! It's already saved me some money on my utilities

The product is about as good as you can get for a middle class thermostat. Easy to install and use. I’m not too fond of the app, but it’s mostly easy to use.

Great for hydronic heating

We have heated hydronic floors, with the old thermostat we use to get wild temperature shifts in the house when temperature outside changed. The Nest E now anticipates needs based on outside temperature and seems manage heat cycles better. The result is more noticeably more comfort in the house. The usage graphing is also pretty cool.

I found the Nest Thermostat E easy to set up and even easier to use. It is very easy to use either from the device, which lights up when you walk in front of it, or from the nest app. It is very convenient to be able to adjust the temperature when away from home if forgotten. It is also very nice to be able to adjust the temperature before returning home from vacation so that the home is the perfect temperature to welcome you back.

I got the Nest as a gift. Previously, I had a programmable thermostat which once I figured out the difficult program, I didn't change anything. With the Nest, it is easy to use easy to see and it learns your patterns. You can also adjust while you are away. The best part, in my book, is it that it told me I had a problem with my furnace which required a service technician. I am very happy with my Nest.

great purchase

As an engineer I love the constant use of new technology after completing this extremely simple to perform installation. I have decided to not update it if something new from another manufacture comes out. The E is exactly what i wanted and ill never give it up. Even my technically challenged elderly father loves it and wants one.

Excellent Interface, Exellent Quality

I chose the Nest Thermostat E because the specs stated that it would work with a heat only, two wire system (no common wire). It does and with absolutely no power issues. The performance and ease of use of this product have been so great that I've purchased a second unit for the second zone in the home.
Installation was a quick and easy 1 person job.
The interface is so straight forward that even the most technophobic members of the household can operate it at the unit if they need to.
I highly recommend this product.
