Smart and Sleek

We got this for our new home and have been loving the upgrade. It's easy to use, "blends in" with the pretty normal home decor, but still looks modern and "high tech" when in use. It's a great "install and forget" device that was super easy to install on our own and pair with our Google Home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy installation

DIY Installation was very easy and quick. Hardest part was probably to set up the schedule which I expected to be the easiest. Had it for 4 month during Winter. Not sure yet how much it saved as I expect better saving opportunities in the summer to control the AC. I really like the design. It looks much better than these boring rectangular shaped standard thermostats and the display is easy top read as I walk by.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was pleasantly surprised with how well this unit performs. It was super easy to install and it is easy to control remotely. It has saved me money starting day 1. Looks great. Works great and saves money. What else would you need?

Great device, but needs to provide more data

Switched to this device from a basic thermostat and love it. Installation was easy, and having access online is great. Only gets 4 stars because I was shocked by the lack of data you get from nest...only a running 10 days worth of hours used. I expected more out of a smart device: monthly data, seasonal data, time of day usage, yearly record. Every other smart device gives me way better usage history that I can use to make changes to behaviors & save $. Get with it nest!

A good learning thermostat for the money

It does what it's supposed to do. It is nice to come home and see the the temperature has gone up, saving you money. But you don't have to adjust it back down because it knows you came home.
Voice control with Google home is also a handy feature if you don't want to have to dig your cell phone out of your pocket.
Initial setup is a bit of a pain since you have to spend the dial back and forth to spell out everything. But once it's set up it's easy to control with the app.
The one feature I find lacking, that I really miss, is that it rarely tells you what the current temperature is. And the app never does. Usually the only way I can find out what the temperature is in the house, is to ask Google home. That's the main reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

We have 3 Nests 2 E's and 1 Nest

At our primary residence, we use an original Nest and one Nest E (dual HVAC systems) and the savings of having the home/away assist is awesome. Also the ability to change the temperature upstairs without having to go upstairs is a perk. The Nest E, in my opinion, is the best buy even over the original Nest. The features and capability are very comparable and the look of the Nest E fits better in the more traditional setting of my homes. The original Nest looks terrific, don't get me wrong, and it feels amazing (more metal than the Nest E), but the clean looks of the white and frosted screen Nest E is great. I really love all my Nests!

Great product

I feel like Nest must have made a mistake with the E. It is cheaper, better looking, and sacrifices virtually no functionality from the learning thermostat. I installed mine in 15 minutes (patching the wall took far longer than the thermostat install) and now I just have this sleep, beautiful unobtrusive device at the end of my hall. Already seeing energy improvements in only 6 weeks.

I love my new Nest !

Don’t let it scare you away! This is one of the easiest thermostats that I have ever used! My husband who is not very tech savvy has learned how to use it in a very short amount of time.
