Love it!

I was intimidated to buy one because I was told that my furnace needed special wiring and my house probably didn't have it, however, after finding the compatibility test online, I was happy to find out that the thermostats would work for me! The test was easy, the wiring was easy, Nest made it all very simple and install took less than 10 minutes!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very easy to set up and works great! I love that I can track my energy usage to help find ways to be more efficient. I am using it with a hot water heating system and it is also very helpful that it automatically figures out how long it will take to heat the house up to temp and when running the schedule it will get it to the desired temperature by that time instead of just turning on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to setup and easy to use

This was a replacement for an old manual thermostat. The online guide to determine the wiring was really helpful. The mounting plate fit nicely over the gaping hole the previous homeowners left, and setup was a breeze. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their aging thermostat.
The only thing that annoyed me during the setup was entering my WiFi password: it's really long and using the dial to enter it was tedious and took forever.

Worth the money!

I have had the thermostat for a few months and had it professionally installed by an HVAC professional. I really appreciate the gray/white aesthetic that matches my living room paint color and the back plate easily covered the marks left by my old thermostat. I recommend once installed you play with all the different features the thermostat offers and I like how the Nest app makes recommendations to guide you and save you money. The Nest will most definitely pay for itself and then some over the long run - what could be better?!?!

Are Nest thermostats expensive? Yes, but the value in the investment is apparent the first day you use it. Or the time you go on vacation and realize that its become far colder at home than the WeatherCaster said it would. Simply open the app and make the adjustment. It’s really as simple as that. Set a schedule- done. It’s super responsive and far more accurate than anything else out there. It’s smart and it gets to know you- when you leave and when you come home. So you don’t have to worry. It does the work for you.

No more waste

Great thermostat. Was very easy to set up and program. I particularly like the feature that we can have it detect when we left the home based on our phones presence and set it to away mode. This saves energy but where we were not saving energy before.

Great product

I bought one for the ground floor level of my home. The installation was straight forward, it worked with my home automation app, and was easy to setup and use.
The weather where I live has been erratic with a cold day followed by a warm day. The Nest automatically switched from heat to cool and vice versa as needed to maintain temperature within the high and low range.
About a week after buying this product, I purchased another one for the upstairs level and installed it.
Both are working great.
