Ease of Comfort

I will admit I purchased for the look and how it blends in seamlessly with the room. But, I've also found that it works well with keeping my home at the proper temp while home or away. Since it's a smart device it's nice to know that I can control while on the go!

How well it works

It was easy to install easy to use and it works real well if you if you have the air on at night and it gets cold outside goes in eco mode automatically that's awesome.

I just (two days ago) replaced two original (six year old) Nest thermostats with two Nest Thermostat E. Also purchased two sensors (for a room upstairs and a room downstairs) that tend to get too hot or too cold during parts of the day. Pretty easy setup. Am able to manage everything from my Android phone, as well as on laptop. Nice solution package of products.

Why did I wait so long?

I had heard great things about this thermostat. I get nervous installing electric stuff so I asked my brothers to come over and install it. Well, 7 months later and they still hadn't installed it. A friend was over and said he could do it. It took him about 15 minutes! So worth the wait but I wish I would have had it installed earlier. ; )

Nest E vs. Nest Learning Thermostat

What, besides $100, is the difference between the Nest E and the Nest Learning Thermostat? First of all, the E *is* a learning thermostat. It will learn your habits and adjust temperatures accordingly, just like the Nest learning thermostat. The primary difference is appearance/display. The E is meant to blend in, so it does not push a lot of display-intensive features. Use the app for that stuff.

Easy and efficient

Incredibly easy to determine if my home would support it. Easy to install/configure and manage. Lastly it has learned very quickly our habits and adjusts the thermostat which has been very useful on nights/mornings when I forget to adjust before leaving.

A thermostat broke in the house so I decided to try a "smart" one. The unit looks amazingly clean and simple, installation was not only easy, but the instructions were crystal clear! I am definitely getting more to replace the working ones now!
