Pays for itself

I got an excellent rebate through my electrical company for three of these. At the rate we're going, it'll pay for itself within a year with my energy savings. It's simple to install and use. Love that I can control my temperature from anywhere inside or outside the home through the app and that it knows when I'm not home so it can adjust the temperature so that I'm not wasting gas/electricity.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm impressed by how well-thought-out this thermostat's capabilities are, especially as I'm using it in a vacation home where I want to give renters the ability to set temperature but reserve some capabilities for myself. It fits this need surprisingly well, although the majority of purchasers are probably just using it in their own homes and won't need to do some of the things I'm doing with it.

My favorite part of the nest e is how easy it was to install. The wiring labeling and color coding made so easy and the screen on the device even told you which cord was for what. Also, it alerted me that my heating wire(it showed me the diagram which is easy for someone who doesn’t understand electricity) came unplugged. Easy to use. Great product. It’s learning my energy saving preferences!

Had a little trouble getting the wires to terminate correctly but it has been rock solid since then. I love to control this from any room in the house and the app works great.

Expectations over delivered

I was expecting to have complex issue from setup. I watched one video and setup was done within 15 mins. The product works better than expected, my wife who has never used any of the other connected devices at home, loves the ability provided by Nest.
I would recommend this to a friend!

easy to install

it was the easiest to install and operate as long as you have a unit that has 24 volts at main control board. on the ac unit in some cases the red or c wires may not be connected if the existing thermostat is running on batteries. works and looks great

Nest E is great

We really like the looks of our new Nest E. Blends into the background so much nicer than our old model and the functionality is still great. We have saved lots of energy dollars with our Nest thermostats.

Outstanding product and performance. Finally their is product that does exactly what they say and more. I'm not a technician and couldn't believe how simple it was to replace my old thermostat with new high tech nest. All I needed to do the job was included, the information and diagrams were super easy to follow.
Now if I'm running late getting home to my poppies, I can turn the AC with the phone
