We have multiple Nest thermostats and cameras in 2 homes. Extremely reliable and pretty easy to use. It's great to be able to check your home thru the thermostats and the cameras.

Awesome, inexpensive thermostat

As long as your system is compatible with Thermostat E (85% of systems are) this is a great, cheaper alternative to the third generation Nest Thermostat. I had the Nest in my previous home and I've gone over a year without it. Now that I have cameras too, I'm very happy to return to Nest Thermostat too. Home/away is my favorite thing. I will probably be adding Nest Secure soon.

What I like about this thermostat

The reason I bought this thermostat for was the ability to be able to control the temperature from my phone, I don't know how many times I left my house in the morning and forgot to turn my A/C up, so it won't run all day and give me a higher electric bill. Now with the Nest Home/Away feature the thermostat automatically change the temperature up so my A/C not running all day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ease of installing was very simple and the connections were explained well in instructions.
Ease of setting up initial setting was less well explained but easy once I figured out that IT DOES NOT HAVE A TOUCHSCREEN, you simply turn the outside of thermostat like an old school radio knob.
I’m stilling learning it’s features but I like the voice interface with my Alexa Echo/dots. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Love the thermostat, easy to install, it’s a money saver, and my dogs are always comfortable when they’re home alone . This will be my Christmas gift to everyone i know.
