So far, so good. I was able to install the thermostat myself, following instructions and safety precautions provided. It was pretty easy. Getting the app up and running was a little more work to figure out and I'm still learning. It will take some time to figure out all the features but it's running fine and I like the clean and more updated look to it over my old-fashioned one.
The temperatures of my state vary by night and day in the spring/fall so much that I have to change the thermostat in the night to heating and day to AC. It never seems to stay in a good range without manually switching systems over with my old thermostat. With the nest, I can just set it and leave it in the heat-cool mode. So much less monitoring.
At the beginning of this year I started using nest devices. I have since started using many of their devices. I wish I could get a few more of their products but the prices are a little high.
Otherwise if you on the fence. Take the leap and move into the future.
I finally updated our old thermostat and I am very happy with the Google Nest. We live in a condo that has 2 floors and the thermostat is downstairs. Let's be honest, no one feels like getting up in the middle of the night to travel downstairs to change the thermostat. So I love the feature of being able to control it thru my phone or thru our Alexa! I also love how I can turn on or off my a.c
