NEST Thermostat rocks!

Just installed another NEST Thermostat for my second home in the Midwest, 1800 miles away. It saves me money by recognizing when I'm away and I'm able to control it from my smartphone from anywhere. I decided to buy 25 feet of new thermostat wire and locate the NEST on an interior wall in the living room. I connected a 5th wire to the 24V common for battery charging, getting help from YouTube.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to set up and use.i tend to be afraid of electrical setups but this was easy. I also had to trouble and found the information easily on line and fixed the problem myself.

Perfect for the Lake House

I purchased the Nest E for my lake place so I could adjust the HVAC before I get there. It has worked perfect for my needs. I installed myself and it was a breeze.

I purchased my Nest E to upgrade an existing thermostat and have more control over my energy bill. I’ve been impressed from the start with how easy it was to set up and use. It’s already helping me save money with energy saving settings. Bonus points: I’m getting rewards from my energy company for using less energy. Highly recommend.

I was so excited to finally have Nest thermostat so that I could track and adjust my A/C from anywhere. I have friends who have the regular Nest, but I went with the Nest E because of my budget. I have to say, I don't have any complaints and haven't seen a need for the higher-end version compared to the E!

I initially Wanted to get the higher end Best thermostat 3rd gen but decided for this one becuase of it minimalistic look. Plus it is just as good as the more expensive one minus some luxury things like construction and displays. I haven’t had it for long but so far we love it!

I just recently got my Nest Thermostat E, and from what I can say so far is it's great. The installation was easy , and painless. The Thermostat E has everything that it's Big Brother has except for one feature, but that doesn't take away from what it has to offer! I gave it a "Good" because I haven't had time to test it out fully.
I would have to say I am satisfied with my choice!

Does not operate auxiliary heat

I had my HVAC tech install two new Nest E thermostats in my house. The process was very simple, and they were easy to set up once installed. We didn’t figure out until he did the wiring that it won’t operate the auxiliary heat feature on my heat pump system. Fortunately it doesn’t usually get bitter cold where we live. If we wind up having an issue I’ll probably switch to the other model.
