Another great thermostat

I like the Nest E a lot. I had a learning thermostat in my other house, decided to get this one for a new look. Wife likes it more than the other one cause she likes the super clean look of the white/frost. I have it connect to my LIFX lights and my garage door. Overall I'm a big Nest fan.

Great 2nd Nest

I was in the process of selling my home in TX. We had a Nest downstairs and a traditional thermostat upstairs. Since I was traveling a lot, it was expensive to keep the upstairs temperature set low enough for people to come look at the house. Installing the Nest upstairs, allowed me to remotely adjust the temperature and make sure the home was comfortable for everyone who wanted to tour.

I need to know what the temp is in my vacation home when I'm not there. I can save money and also have the home warm/cool when I go there! The Nest is awesome. I have one in both homes and love being able to manage the temps when I'm away from home!!

Works well, display is not impressive

I've used/installed several Nest thermostats was attracted by the lower price. There is always a trade-off and in this case it is the display. If you have used a Nest this display is disappointing. It is much less sharp and bright. It is readable and the functions are much like the Nest.
I don't like that OS updates are done without asking and changes seem random, sometime losing good features

Residential Nest E upgrade

The Nest E is exactly as I hoped it would be: Easy installation, accurate temperature readout, and easy to use from the Nest and from the app. I have animals that are very temperature sensitive, so I love that I can see the temps in my house even when I'm away, and make changes accordingly. It blends in with my walls perfectly, but is still a great conversation topic. 10/10 would reccomend.
