Don’t waste your time on other solutions as I did. Thought I would buy Sensi to save a few bucks but just replaced both units in two homes with NEST. Easy installation, super easy operation with a high nerd factor, lol.

I purchased this because of the ease of controlling the heat when I’m away from home. So far so good! It’s ease of use is excellent and connected with my phone with no problems. I’ve just started using it so I’m anxious in seeing how energy efficient it’s going to be for my electric bill... Time will tell.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So easy to use

I set this up in about 20 minutes and so far it has worked perfect. We're snowbirds and wanted to monitor the temperature in our PA home from AZ. Not wanting to keep the house at the lowest setting possible of 50 degrees I turned off the heat and the emergency feature turns the heat on at 40 degrees as detailed in the manual. Works perfect and I love the apps history feature showing run times.

Worth every penny

The Nest Thermostat E is worth every cent. It's easy to install, much easier than the previous programmable thermostats I had. The Nest app works well and is easy to use. The history reporting gives you an almost competitive urge to see how little energy you can use. The EcoTemps function of the Nest is a home run for saving energy when you're away from home. The Nest obviously pays for itself.

I believe this is an excellent product. My only request would to add to the already existing great features, a "Hold Temp" option to override any program until changed.
