Nest E works well - please read the directions though. If you have an older system you may not have a common wire, the directions will tell you what to do. It has saved me money by using the home/away setting.

I have been using the Nest E for 14 months. It has been easy to set up and maintain temps. Even easy to adjust temps as weather changes. It tells you when to change filters. It has been a complete joy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product from Nest

I use the "E" in my garage. I had attached the Common wire to my thermostat, but it was no big deal for anyone with a little DIY experience. We recently had severe cold in Chicago, and it was great to check on the garage with the iPhone app. I also have a nest camera in the garage as well. I've tried Honeywell thermostats and cameras from other suppliers, but the quality of Nest is better.

Easy to install, and looks great in our newly remodeled kitchen. The 'interface' is intuitive and very easy to understand. I highly recommend NEST and I enjoy showing it to my friends.

I was skeptical about installing the Nest E Thermostat on my own, but after watching the video, installation took me approximately 20 minutes, and the software updates were completed in the next 10 minutes. In under 30 minutes, I had installed, updated, and programmed my Nest E, and my system was back up and running. I am anxiously awaiting my energy savings!
I would recommend this to a friend!
