Nest with google home

Energy company gave me a rebate so thought would try this out and it came with a google home mini. I want sure what to expect but the ability to change temps in my home while not there is great to have. The ability to change temp by saying "hey google" drop my temperature 3 degrees is awesome!. Some of the new technology is scary to me but this seems really easy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Aside from its sleek cool look, I really enjoy the eco mode and the App. Being able to turn off or on while away from home has been great. I see it as similar to the remote start option on cars to cool/warm it up prior to getting in. I have pets that are left home so I can monitor the inside temperature of the house on hot days and kick on the A/C when needed.

Our Nest Thermostat allows us to program it so it changes temp automatically during the day or at night. We can check our heating and a/c from the road when we travel. I would highly recommend a Nest if you don't have one yet...ours works very well for us.

I have a condo as a second home. It is good to be able to control the temperature at your fingertips and to know whether the unit is operating or not since I am 120 miles away from its location. Also love that I can lower the temperature at least an hour before arrival so I can have the condo at a satisfactory temperature before arrival.

Paid for itself in a couple of months

I didn't want to spend the money because ours was working, but it was a great choice to go with all the products we needed from Nest products, it has saved so much on the utility bill for the summer months, curious how it will be for the winter months. The fact I can set the temp from my phone from anywhere is so great.

We got this to replace an outdated thermostat a few months after we bought our home. You can tell when we installed it because our energy use and spending went way down. My favorite feature has been the app. I set it to go to eco when I leave the house and it works everytime. I've gone on vacation and was able to adjust it from where I was. I've never felt like I was missing something with this.
