Amazing for what it does
on June 3, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The xr is great, I use it for remote control of my desktop at home, and to run pcvr through steam vr wirelessly.
The galaxy AI is nice, but im mainly using googles AI feature in this device, lole gemini live, and circle to search, which ate amazing and ive had 0 issues with.
My only complaint is that the device has a data usbc port with fairly high specs, but linking to a pc through the cable hasn't been implemented.
Overall, worth the money if you use it for multiple of the things you can do, but I woudlnt use it for just gaming, or just productivity. It should be a mix of different uses.

Immersive XR that finally feels “daily drivable”
on May 28, 2026
Posted by: NYCPatentXR
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Galaxy XR daily for both work and entertainment, and it’s the first XR device that actually feels “daily drivable” instead of a tech demo. I use it for streaming, gaming, and virtual desktop with my Galaxy Book and Galaxy phone, and the visual clarity plus comfort are good enough that I can stay in longer sessions without feeling cooked. The mixed reality passthrough is sharp enough to navigate my NYC apartment and work at a standing desk while having multiple virtual screens up, which has made it surprisingly useful for reviewing documents, coding, and light productivity.
Where it really stands out is the integration with Galaxy AI and the broader Samsung ecosystem. Galaxy AI features make it easy to summarize documents, translate content, and pull context while I’m in XR, and the tight pairing with my Galaxy devices means I can bounce between phone, laptop, and headset without much friction. Latency over Wi‑Fi 7 with my Galaxy Book is low enough that cloud/remote gaming and high‑refresh virtual desktop use are viable, which was not true for earlier XR setups I’ve tried. Battery life is fine for my use (shorter focused sessions rather than all‑day use), and the comfort is acceptable once you dial in the straps and spacing.
There is still room for improvement (I’d love even more granular display and controller tuning options for power users), but overall Galaxy XR feels like a serious, high‑end XR platform rather than a toy.

Everything I Could've Asked for and More!
on May 23, 2026

I bought the Galaxy XR primarily for PCVR gaming, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I had watched a few YouTube review videos focused specifically on VR gaming, and the common theme was that the device was not optimized for it. As of May 2026, I’m happy to report that not only is it good, it has exceeded my expectations.
I’m using Virtual Desktop, which now supports foveated streaming, and I’m getting a sustained 72–90 FPS in some of the most graphically demanding games, including VR modes for Resident Evil 2, 3, 7, and Requiem, all over Wi-Fi 7.
The OLED screens are absolutely the standout feature. The dynamic range is outstanding. They produce vivid colors, deep blacks, and the brightness is more than sufficient. I have the brightness set to 70%.
Another thing that surprised me was how comfortable the headset is. I’ve worn it for two hours straight with zero discomfort or pressure on my face. I did replace the forehead pad with a third-party option from Tyco Tech. It reduces the distance between your eyes and the displays, which widens the FOV. An added benefit is that it makes the device feel lighter and improves comfort even further. I can confidently say that the Galaxy XR is more comfortable than the Quest 3.
Battery life is decent as well. I’m getting about two hours of heavy use.
My only two gripes are:
1. The 3D movies I bought (I’ve only purchased two so far) are letterboxed with black bars at the top and bottom. This takes away from the immersion and somewhat defeats the purpose of virtual screens that should adapt to the content. I’m guessing the black bars are baked into the source files.
2. I wish more streaming apps had native Android XR support. Right now, the only two with native support are YouTube and Netflix. For example, the HBO Max app is just the phone/tablet version with no 4K streaming support.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my XR
on May 21, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my XR—I spend hours connected (well, the two-and-a-bit hours that the battery allows), but as soon as it’s charged up again, I’m right back to using it. Galaxy AI helps me navigate, and the floating screens are truly spectacular. The map is stunning—I love absolutely everything about it!

The Future of VR
on May 17, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As my first VR headset device ever, I enjoy using it a lot. Setup was easy, loved how easy it was to interact with apps and content. No stutter or lag. The Iris recognition is an amazing thing to have in adding that security and not worry over someone getting on and messing with things.
One thing that needs improvement is working with Steam VR and Game Link as there's always the issue of SteamVR bot recognizing the headset and controllers sometimes. Take notes from the Virtual Desktop app as it performs so much better on that front, especially with being able to view and use my PC.
I 100% support this device even with the price as it is worth it.
