The lid for cup has no way to block. I wanted to use the cups to bring my workplace after making juice. It is not able to shake after saving the drink. The advertisement is wrong there are no explanations or photo for lids.
I went to purchase this blender but, upon realizing that it was made of plastic, decided to go with another brand that had a glass jug. Wake up Ninja!!! Microplastics are BAD! And glass is much easier to recycle!
Love this blender but be careful I did not read the instructions and didn’t realize the blade only locks in with the lid. I took the lid off to pour my smoothie into a cup and the very sharp blade flew out slicing my hand. I had to go to emerg and got 5 stitches!
I do not understand this trend for blender makers to use a plastic jug, instead of a glass one.
A quick look to the used market of blenders tells you how badly these pitchers scratch on the inside, from any frozen items added to the pitcher, eventually leaving you with a no longer clear jug... Yes, all the frozen items or ice that you add to your blender will scrape off bits of the clear jugs plastic.... yum!
Imagining the Mouthfuls of Microplastics that I would be ingesting at each and every healthy smoothy or icy drink is beyond a Scary concept from these blender plastic pitchers, untill they fix that, with a Glass Pitcher, I would Run Away from this product.
So far I am enjoying this blender and the versatility of using either Blender jug or single serve option. The blender works very well at cutting through all the tuff stuff.
The one downfall is the base does not automatically shut off. You need to remember to power off.
