Seems super strong. But the handle turned dark on me and didn’t stay the shiny steel colored.

We do suggest not putting in the dishwasher as this will cause the handle to turn darker. Also, please wash by hand and dry immediately, if it sits in water and doesn't get dried off immediately, the same thing will happen. We do suggest using "Bar Keepers Friend" which you can find at the grocery store by the ajax or comet. It will help take some of the darkness off. Glad you still like your knife, but sorry about the discoloration on the handle. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 1-800-311-9691.
